FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where do I find out what my child is swimming in the meet?

The heat sheet is accessible to all swimmers 24 hours prior to the meet in the SwimminglyFan app. You can see a swimmer's events at check-in on the day of the meet as well.  Many swimmers and their families use “Sharpie” markers to write down their Swimmingly ID and their Event/Heat/Lane numbers on their wrist or thigh at home before arriving at the meet. We will send instructions on how to do this.

What time do we need to be at a meet?

This will be communicated to you before each meet, but typically your child will need to be there 30 minutes before an away meet for warm ups and 1 hour before a home meet.

What do we need to bring to swim meets?

Bring a towel from home, bring an extra towel too.

Sunscreen

Water bottle and a snack

 Goggles and swim cap

Games, books, cards, etc. (something for the swimmers to do while they wait for their next event)

Sharpie- in case you forgot to mark them up at home!

What happens at the meets?

• Mark your swimmers with their ID

• Swimmers then must sit in our team area

• There will be warm ups before the meet

• Swimmers 10 and under will be assisted by the Bull Pen and coaches with lining up for their events.

• Cheer for your fellow teammates!

How many events will my child swim?

The 6 and under age group swims in the 25yd freestyle and 25yd backstroke events.  Ages 7 and older can generally expect to swim at least two events (freestyle, backstroke, butterfly, breaststroke or Individual Medley (IM)) and one relay.
